Since I can remember, I have walked, talked, and slept fishing. I started out using a bamboo pole with 40lb nylon line, sinker, hook, and a cork float. Those trips with my grandfather and my dad are memories that will last forever. I have come a long way since those early days of my childhood. I pursued fishing with a passion. I was a fishing guide in Northwestern Ontario. I was an assistant manager of a very successful tackle store from 1991-1993.I have fished the Northern Ontario Walleye trail regularly since 2005. Before that I fished a Bass Series in the Ottawa area. I am currently employed as a Supervisor with one of Canadas railways. My past experiences and career, allow me to understand what it takes to deal with different people and promote products with personal, and professional knowledge and experience.
I started my tournament career in 1992. I fished a series in Ottawa called BASS 2000. I had three top ten placements and made the Fall Classic. My love for walleye angling brought me to the Northern Ontario Walleye Trail in 2004. I fished a tournament in September that year. The friendliness and the ability of my competitors had me hooked. Since 2005 I have fished at lest 2 or more tournaments with 6 Top 10 Finishes. In the last two years I have fished a minimum of 5 tournaments. I have placed as high as fifth in the Angler of the Year Championship and continuously am in the top 25. This past year saw as many as 900 different anglers take part in all the NOWT events. In May 2012, I am fishing for Team Canada in the AIM Canada vs. US professional Walleye Tournament May31st-June 2nd in Brimley, Michigan. I am also focused on winning a tournament next year and striving to be Angler of the Year in the NOWT.
